Physical, cognitive, psychological and social frailties in the elderly have their bases in the biological changes that occur with age. Neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration and alterations in neuronal connectivity are the basis of cognitive and psychological changes. The project aims to explore these aspects, to prevent pathological aging and promote active and healthy aging. We intend to explore how a regular physical activity, cognitive exercises and an appropriate diet can act on biological changes and prevent the decay of the elderly, thus working on the cellular mechanisms that are the basis of aging at an early stage.
