The newly established ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium) EU-OPENSCREEN offers researchers from Europe and the world the use of a compound library and a broad range of technologies for the identification of chemical tool compounds. EU-OPENSCREEN is currently supported by eight countries (Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Poland, and Spain). It pools valuable expertise and resources across Europe and makes the collected results available in an open access database to support research in life sciences and their applications in medicine and agriculture. The central office and compound management facility of EU-OPENSCREEN is located in Berlin on the Science Campus Berlin-Buch. Responsibilities

  • Key contact and scientific manager for biological screening and medicinal chemistry projects
  • Administrative project support, including cost calculations and reporting
  • Support of grant applications
  • Scientific presentations at workshops and conferences

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL
    Biological sciences: PhD or equivalent
  • REQUIRED LANGUAGES
    ENGLISH: Excellent
    GERMAN: Good

Specific Requirements

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related field
  • Solid knowledge in assay and chemical probe development
  • Ideally experience in interdisciplinary project management and with Horizon 2020 grant applications
  • Experience in technology transfer would be a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken English, good knowledge of German and/or a third European language would be a significant advantage
