OFFER DESCRIPTION
The Satchi-Fainaro Research Group at The Tel-Aviv University Faculty of Medicine is looking for an Early Stage Researcher (PhD student) to develop a PhD thesis project on the in vitro and in vivo evaluation of novel anticancer nanomedicines. The contract will be within the framework of the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Training Network THERACAT (H2020-MSCA-ITN-2017-765497), whose objective is to train a new generation of early stage researchers in the field of cancer therapy.
The successful candidate will develop research involving:
– Establish mCherry-labeled orthotopic models of cancer in mice.
– Evaluation of biodistribution of newly-synthesized prodyes.
– Evaluation of anticancer activity of activated prodrugs.
Requirements for candidates:
– B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biology, Medicine (MD) or Pharmaceutical Sciences (completed before the contract starting date).
– Experience and knowledge in polymer chemistry or tissue culture.
– Experience and knowledge in using NMR, HPLC/GPC, DLS, and /or CLSM, FACS.
– High motivation and ability to be part of an international multidisciplinary team.
– High level of English and good communication skills.

–At the time of recruitment by TAU, candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work or studies) in Israel for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to their recruitment
