Job offer for a scientist within the framework of the OPUS program of the National Centre for Science project entitled "Revealing global pattern in bryozoan skeletal mineralogy and its implication for understanding impact of climate changes on marine invertebrates (PANIC)"
Brief description of the project: The main objective of the project is to investigate the mineralogical variability of Bryozoa skeletons on a global scale, including all climatic zones, with particular reference to the tropical zone (complementing missing data). Research will be conducted between areas, communities, species – often in relation to the environmental conditions, especially the temperature rising from the poles towards the equator. By identifying the mineralogical variability, the project will enable to recognize adaptive potential of this group to the rapidly progressing climate changes but especially to the increasing water temperature.
