Laboratory of Protein Metabolism in Development and Aging together with Laboratory of Iron Homeostasis at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw are looking for a motivated and talented Ph.D. student for an exciting joint project, spanning the interface between aging, iron biology, and protein homeostasis (proteostasis). Using primary cell cultures as well as tissue-resident macrophages isolated from mice, the successful candidate will study how macrophages change their phenotypes with the aging process. Specifically, of the highest interests will be a characterization of these specialized cells regarding proteostasis.

Skills/Qualifications

We are interested in candidates experienced in basic molecular biology and biochemical methods, cell culture work, flow cytometry, with an interest (and preferably experience) in mouse-based studies. Fluent English is required.
