The INTERREG Labfact project aims to connect university research laboratories to regional industry in medicinal sciences and agrochemistry. The main objectives are the transfer of knowledge in the synthesis of 3D scaffolds and the development of new chemical approaches. Partners consortium are the school of chemistry of Southampton, the university of Caen, the engineer school ENSICAEN, the university of Rouen and the CNRS.

The offered position is split in two activities:  European manager and Industrialist prospect, with a fluent English speaking.

European manager: good skills in European mechanism and justification processes, in organization of the different tasks in relation with the head of the project (localized at Soton), following the expenses and realize the expenses. Manager should have a master degree from a European manager training.

Industrialist prospect: The manager should have also a scientific expertise in chemistry or chemical biology to organize the prospect in regional industries (scientific with an undergraduate or a master diploma). The main objectives are to detect potential connection and needed between industrialists and research laboratories.

Detail of the mission

Each partner will appoint a local facilitator to support and administer their engagement in LabFact. Their roles will be akin to those described in project. They will also be responsible for the recruitment, management, mentoring and monitoring of the technicians needed to fulfil their obligations in respect of the chemistry and overall project coordination.

The Industrial Liaison Facilitator will be managed by the UoC Projet Manager under guidance from the Project Leader. Their role will be to a. establish effective communication lines to engage SMEs b. establish links between SMEs and LabFact partners in R&D, training and product development arenas c. help to coordinate industry partnerships and promote cross-channel liaison d. help engage and manage industry participation in LabFact meetings and events e. oversee the Advisory Board and follow up identified mechanisms for stakeholder engagement f. collate project activities and metrics on industry liaison and report these to the management board g. liaise with local facilitators on matters relating to industry engagement h. where appropriate, coordinate travel arrangements and bookings for stakeholder engagement i. set up and manage sections on the LabFact website devoted to industry and stakeholder engagement

Benefits

Gross Salary: 2 314 €/month

Type of contract: temporary fixed-term contracts public law, until December 2018, renewable.
