Duties:

The successful candidate will be primarily based on the Medical Assessment Unit / Emergency Assessment Unit

Assist Acute Physician in the care of acute medical take patients from GPs or Emergency Department

Assessing and reviewing of patients on Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)

Expediting and acting upon investigations

Assisting in the facilitation of early discharge where appropriate

Perform relevant clinical tasks to facilitate discharge e.g. completing Electronic Discharge form

Person Specification:

MBBS or equivalent

MD / DNB in Medicine

MRCP / Part MRCPch or PLAB 1&2

Minimum 3 years full time post graduate experience

Minimum of 18 months of continuous General Internal or Acute Medicine experience

GMC registration (or eligible to secure GMC registration)

Efficiency in Teamwork and equally good communication skills
