The Institute of Ion Physics and Applied Physics is searching for a
Project Assistant (30 h/week)
(Employment for the period of 10 months – extension for another 24 months possible; position to be filled at the earliest possible date)
· Accomplishment of a research project in the area of cluster physics and material science with emphasis on the synthesis and characterization monodispersed metal nanoparticles. Functionalization of surfaces with respect to cell adhesion in collaboration with industrial and academic partners.
· We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months.
· Graduation with Diploma or Master certificate (MSc) in physics, chemistry or material science
· Technical skills and basics knowledge in vacuum technology, low-temperature physics, mass spectrometry, cluster physics; Teamwork skills; High oral and written communication skills.

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this position amounts to € 2.096,- per month (14 times). The salary might be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
