The Institute for Transport Studies (IVe) at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) is currently looking for a part-time (24h/w) postgraduate research associate to undertake research with focus on System Dynamics Modelling in transport.
The position offers the opportunity to obtain a PhD and work on challenging and interesting projects with real-world relevance under the supervision of a strong team of experienced system dynamics and transport modelling experts.
The responsibilities of the research associate are to carry out and publish scientific research in System Dynamics modelling in transport, contribute to the acquisition of third party funding and to teaching of students.
Applicants must have a very good University degree in a numerate subject - including any area of engineering, economics, operations research, computer science, data science or applied mathematics and a strong interest in the development of simulation models, particularly for transport policy and planning.
Skills in programming and data analytics as well as good English and German language skills are advantageous. We expect the successful candidate to be able to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 1.676,80
