The University of Stavanger Business School is currently inviting applications for a new doctoral scholarship in marketing. Appointment is for four years with research and 25% compulsory duties. While the PhD project will accommodate the appointee’s research interests and qualifications, the topic of the project will be Marketing Innovation-Platforms.
Firms are increasingly collaborating with large numbers of outside parties (customers, suppliers, complementors, etc.) in their innovation activities. A number of such efforts are organized around collaboration platforms. Attracting collaborators to such platforms and organizing the activities is strategically important for the success of innovation initiatives. The project title refers to the activities and strategies used by firms to market innovation-platforms to prospective collaborators. Thus, we are seeking candidates interested in working within the area of marketing strategy, business models, and networks.
