MARIE CURIE GRANT AGREEMENT NUMBER765267
The quantum dynamics and control group at the University of Kassel investigates the quantum control of atoms, molecules and condensed matter systems with an AMO-like structure. Development of optimal control methods represents a major part of our research, with a current emphasis on the control of open quantum systems.
We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student to work on quantum optimal control as a key ingredient for quantum technologies, in particular on the development of optimal quantum sensors.
You will be expected to carry out research on the fundamental limits to quantum control for open quantum systems, improve currently available methods for the dynamics and control of open quantum systems and design electromagnetic pulses for quantum metrology and quantum computing in close collaboration with leading experimental groups.
