The position will be part of the Neutron- & Quantum Physics group of Prof. Hartmut Abele, which focuses on the control and understanding of basic symmetries and interactions using the techniques of elementary quantum systems. The fixed-term contract will end on the 31.3.2024.

Skills/Qualifications

We are looking for an international renowned scientist with PhD, with several years of experience with precision experiments to join the qBOUNCE collaboration in the field of basic research of cold and ultra-cold neutrons. Fundamental knowledge of planning an experiment of nanometer precession, vibration isolation and vacuum technology, including the manipulation and characterization, are expected. The work experience from an international renowned research institution and the proficiency in designing and leading a complex scientific experiment are compulsory. Teaching experience in the field of physics is advantageous.
