The PhD candidate will work on the FET Proactive Project entitled "Artificial Leaf" targeting to design a photo-electro-catalytic cell for direct conversion of water and carbon dioxide into chemicals and oxygen using exclusively solar energy. The researcher will focus on surface sciences, designing metal oxide catalysts and characterizing them with surface science techniques, including scanning probe microscopies, photo-electron spectroscopies and temperature programmed desorption

Benefits

We offer one-year contract with the possibility of renewing for two years more, if results are satisfactory. Gross salary will be according to standard regulation in Spain at the Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in Nanoscience (IMDEA Nanociencia). The selected candidate is expected to start on Septembre 2017
