In addition, enthusiasm and talent to engage in engineering and microbial questions and the underlying mechanisms as well as in theoretical/modelling aspects is required. Experience in algae biotechnology and algae microbiology will be considered a plus. Furthermore, the successful candidate must have a Master and Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology/ Bioprocessing/ Food Technology/Food Engineering/ Food Microbiology or a closely-related area.
We look forward to receiving your online application including a two-page research proposal considering above defined project scope and outlining current challenges, important literature and possible approaches to tackle innovative microalgae cultivation and processing challenges (applications without a research proposal will not be considered). Please also submit a cover letter including short statement of experience and qualification, a comprehensive CV, a short statement of research interests (one page) and contact information for two academic references. There is no deadline and the position will be open until a suitable candidate is found.
