Offer Description

The post will require knowledge of advanced mobile robot autonomous navigation algorithms, particularly motion planning methods using machine learning techniques. The research will apply deep reinforcement learning algorithms to develop robot local path planners. Testing the vulnerability of autonomous robot navigation algorithms to various cyber threats will also be an essential part of the research work. It is assumed that the applicant will conduct research leading to a doctorate in adversarial machine learning techniques to investigate the vulnerability of robot control algorithms to cyber threats. In addition, the applicant will teach laboratory and design classes in robotics and artificial intelligence, develop new laboratory exercises, and write instructions for them.

Skills/Qualifications

Candidates are required:

  1. to have completed higher education with a master’s degree or equivalent,
  2. to have a good command of Polish and English,
  3. to have a good knowledge of autonomous navigation algorithms service and social robots,
  4. to have a knowledge of reinforcement learning methods and algorithms and their application in autonomous robot navigation tasks,
  5. to have a knowledge of problems relevant to cyber security of service and social robots,
  6. to be able to implement advanced algorithms in machine learning, in particular, reinforcement learning in the control systems of service and social robots,
  7. to have teaching experience
