Job description

As part of an assistantship position, the PhD student will perform courses and practical work at the bachelor and master level related to the Laboratory of Therapeutic Chemistry (faculty of pharmacy, P. VAN ANTWERPEN), i.e. the study of organic pharmaceuticals and analysis of drugs (practical work and exercises) according to the educational coordination of the faculty. The candidate will be involved in varied logistical activities of the laboratory and the faculty, as well. As concerns the research work, the project will deal with biotherapeutics (Characterization of glycans on biopharmaceuticals). Particularly, the doctoral research will concern the analytical aspects of the glycans characterization by LC/MS(MS). These activities will be carried out in collaboration with Members of the laboratory (Dr Kris De Braekeleer, Prof. J.-M. Kauffmann). Preference is given to applicants with a pharmacist diploma having a good affinity or experience in analytical tools and mass spectrometry, as well as with chromatographic analysis.

It is worthy to note that for such an assistantship position, a contract's duration may not exceed 6 years and the minimum duration will be 4 years.
