One vacant position for a full-time scientific project researcher at the Chair of Automation in the Department of Product Engineering from 15. April 2017 on a temporary employment contract lasting 3.5 years. Salary Group B1 of the Austrian labor agreement, monthly minimum excl. supplements € 2.731,00 for 40 hours per week (14 times a year), actual classification is according to previous relevant experience.
Master’s degree in engineering (MSc) at the Montanuniversitaet Leoben or another University particularly in the field of automation and programming, especially in Matlab and Python. A certain degree of passion for lecturing and communication with students. Development and support with publications of scientific papers. Advising and supporting students with their scientific work. Acquiring and participating in interesting projects from basic and applied research.
Cooperation in the competence centre programme or in the K-project Recycling and Recovery of Waste 4.0 – ReWaste 4.0. The project concerns an innovative and co-operative competence centre at the highest academic, technical level with special commercial relevance. The project syndicate comprises of two scientific partners as well as seven industrial partners. All together the K-project comprises of a general strategical project and two technical areas with six subordinated single projects. As a scientific result a thesis (among other things, 3 peer reviewed papers) is planned.
Process engineering or recycling and experience in the area machine learning. The undertaking of selected administrative activities in the chair is a part of the duties; German knowledge and knowledge of spoken and written English; experience in interdisciplinary work is desireable.
