Offer Description
Online social platforms expose and make us vulnerable to a variety of malicious and (potentially) harmful content. The aim of the research is to detect and assess the impact of online information manipulation at scale working at the intersection of Natural Language Processing, including state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs), Data Science and Social Network Analysis. Beyond ‘fake news’ detection techniques, the research will investigate how the same story can be perceived and conveyed to online users by different actors with different aims, rather than focusing only on the truthness of specific news articles and statements.
