Quantum Communications for ALL (QCALL) is a European Innovative Training Network, funded by Marie Sklodowska Curie Action, that endeavors to take the next necessary steps to bring the developing quantum technologies closer to the doorsteps of end users. QCALL will empower a nucleus of 15 doctoral researchers in this area, across its 9 full partners, to provide secure communications in the European continent and, in the long run, to its connections worldwide. Eligibility criteria

In addition to relevant technical qualifications, for all available positions, there are strict eligibility criteria with regard to EU regulations for Innovative Training Networks (ITNs). Please read these conditions carefully before applying for the positions you are interested in:

Early-stage Rule: All researchers recruited in an ITN must be Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs). That is, ESRs shall, at the time of recruitment by the host organisation, be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree. Full-Time Equivalent Research Experience is measured from the date when a researcher obtained the degree which would formally entitle him/her to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the researcher is recruited, irrespective of whether or not a doctorate is or was ever envisaged. For instance, if you have obtained an MSc degree two years ago, you satisfy this rule, but if you have been obtained it over 4 years ago, and during this time, you have been a full-time researcher, you will no longer be eligible. Please note that you can already be a PhD student and satisfy the above rule.

Mobility Rule: At the time of recruitment by the host organisation, ESRs must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of their host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment date. Compulsory national services and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account. As far as international European interest organisations or international organisations are concerned, this rule does not apply to the hosting of eligible researchers. However, the appointed ESR must not have spent more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to their recruitment at the host organisation. ESRs can be of any nationality. But, they are required to undertake transnational mobility (i.e., move from one country to another according to this mobility rule) when taking up their appointment. Example: German nationals can be eligible for recruitment at a beneficiary located in Germany as long as they have resided or carried out their main activity outside of Germany for more than 24 months in the 3 years immediately prior to their recruitment.
