The Instituto de Química Física Rocasolano, Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Madrid, Spain, in the frame of the H2020 Project “Pooling Activities, Resources and Tools for Heritage E-research Networking, Optimization and Synergies”, PARTHENOS (http://www.parthenos-project.eu/) (H2020-INFRADEV-1-2014-1, P.N. 654119), is seeking to recruit one (1) Post-doctoral Researcher.
The researcher will have to pursue high-level, competitive research in the framework of the EU multidisciplinary Project PARTHENOS (http://www.parthenos-project.eu/), a thematic cluster of European research infrastructures and communities working in the sector of cultural heritage (CH) studies. Research activities will pursue the elaboration of guidelines for best practices and definition of standards in relation to procedures and protocols associated to experimental measurements in CH. Such measurements will be performed in the context of analysis of materials with advanced techniques, including laser spectroscopies, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and others.
The researcher will have to demonstrate experience in analytical techniques for material analysis, analytical instrumentation and experimental data acquisition and processing. She or he will participate in exchange and collaboration with researchers from PARTHENOS partners in tasks concerned and will contribute to the dissemination of research results by means of reports, research articles and presentations in national and international conferences.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· PhD in Physics.
· Experience and competence in development of experimental methodologies and instrumentation. Previous post-doctoral experience is convenient.
· Ability to conduct independent, original research in interdisciplinary, international contexts.
· Competence in English (written and spoken).

Start Date : December 1, 2016
Duration of appointment: 15 months.
