The Department of Archaeology & Anthropology is looking to appoint a Research Associate on a 0.6 fte for six months.
Together with Dr Joanna Brück (Principal Investigator), Dr Leo Webley (Senior Research Associate) and Dr Sophia Adams (Senior Research Associate), the researcher will contribute to the completion of a project examining the social context of non-ferrous metalworking during the Bronze and Iron Ages in Britain, Ireland and neighbouring areas of the Continent. This will involve library research, and analysing data on the find context of excavated metalworking remains held in the project database. Some travel may be required to examine material held in archives and museum collections. The researcher will work with the rest of the team to produce the project monograph, which may include writing and the preparation of catalogues and tables. The researcher will also use graphics software to produce illustrations such as maps and site plans.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in archaeology, or an equivalent level of research experience
