Bizkaia Talent

Bizkaia Talent, a leading model in Europe regarding the mobility, employability, career development and support (professional & personal) of highly qualified people and researchers, is a non-profit associative initiative promoted by the County Council of Biscay in collaboration with a group of major and cutting-edge Biscayan companies and universities. It is a platform to attract, retain and to build stable links with talent, fostering innovation and advanced knowledge in Basque organisations in strategic fields.

Bizkaia Talent has a Relocation Service, (EURAXESS Service Centre), whose aim is to offer advice and information of quality related to settlement in the Basque Country. They advise talented researchers and their families on issues related to: Education, Leisure, Private and Public Health and Housing, among others. Finally, through their BE BASQUE DUAL CAREER Centre, they also support the spouses from 3 perspectives: entrepreneurship, voluntarism and guidance in finding a job. This service also comes within the European Mobility Strategy for Researchers in the ERA (European Research Area), through the Mobility Network, EURAXESS, of the European Commission, created to foster and facilitate researchers’ mobility within Europe. Finally, Bizkaia Talent was selected to participate in the EURAXESS Career Development -CDC Pilot Program to foster the professional development of researchers in 2018 and has already put into motion the Career Development Centre.

Bizkaia Talent creates and develops social networks and communities of practices such as the Be Basque Talent Network. This is the largest network of highly qualified professionals who are or want to be linked to our Region, regardless of their territorial origin. This network brings professionals working all over the world in contact with other professionals and companies to facilitate talent movement and build contacts and business relationships with all those who have had, have or want to have a relationship with the Basque Region. They regularly organize Be Basque Talent Conferences where professionals can know the current and future socio-economic and scientific-technological situation of the region, discuss talent mobility matters, participate in thematic workshops and have personal conversations with, Clusters, Companies and SMEs.
