The Coronavirus Global Response pledging event has just kicked off with a successful mobilisation of €7.4 billion from donors worldwide, including €1.4 billion mobilised by the Commission.
The initial target of this worldwide pledging event was €7.5 billion to ensure collaborative development and universal deployment of diagnostics, treatments and vaccines against coronavirus, but more is needed to ensure the distribution worldwide.
To help reach the objectives, donors are invited to continue pledging to the Coronavirus Global Response until end of May to mobilise more resources.
