About
Research and innovation are pivotal drivers in accelerating the global transition to clean energy. International collaboration in research and innovation (R&I) is fundamental to fostering an environment of innovation and knowledge exchange, advancing scientific knowledge, and addressing global challenges. The EU-Indonesia Synergy Meetup on Clean Hydrogen and Sustainable Cities will provide an opportunity for exchange between the European Commission and Indonesia to present their perspectives on the role of R&I in the green and digital transformations and explore avenues of cooperation in science, technology and innovation, in priority domains such as clean energy and sustainable cities.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 14 May 2024, at Udayana University in Bali, in conjunction with an intergovernmental meeting on Mission Innovation (MI). Mission Innovation is a global initiative that brings together government leaders to pioneer clean energy solutions through domestic innovation action and international cooperation. In particular, under Mission Innovation, the European Commission co-leads the Clean Hydrogen Mission and the Urban Transitions Mission.
