The Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences, Foundation of Research and Technology - Hellas, (FORTH/ICE- HT) is seeking applicants for one postdoctoral research assignment in the context of the research project “Artificial Intelligence-driven, Decentralized Production for Advanced Therapies in the Hospital, AIDPATH, GA No 101016909”, which is implemented under the H2020 Innovation Action (ΙΑ) «Digitising and transforming European industry and services: digital innovation hubs and platforms».

 

Job Description

To carry out, under work or a fixed-term employment contract, experimental work on cell culture techniques as well as differentiation protocols and quality assays and be involved in the standardization and implementation of bioreactor processes for CAR-T cells. The job will also involve participation in the daily implementation of AIDPATH project deliverables and preparation of reports to Project Coordinator and EC.

 

Location: FORTH/ICE-HT, Patras, Greece

Duration: up to 9 months, with the potential of renewal or extension according to the needs of the project

Salary: up to approximately 2.500,00 € per month (total cost of the employer, including social security and taxes) depending on the qualifications and time devoted to project

Envisaged starting date: 1/6/2024

 

Requirements and Qualifications

The applicant should hold undergraduate BSc or Diploma in Chemistry or Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Natural Sciences or Engineering. Experience with cell culture growth and monitoring techniques and assays would be strongly favored and demonstrated experience with bioreactor technologies will be positively evaluated. Experience in drug delivery systems and/or cell therapies is preferred. Proven participation in EU funded research projects and publications in international peer-reviewed journals are required. Candidates must have good knowledge of the Greek and English (Level B2) language. Experience in grant preparation would be favored.

Selection Procedure

Applications that are received on time will be evaluated by a scientific committee using the criteria mentioned above. If necessary, certain candidates will be invited to a personal interview with the committee.

Interview Criteria:

(a) Background in the objective of the assignment (5 points). (b) Organizational and communication skills (5 points). (c) Team-spirit and self-motivation (5 points). (d) Commitment to achieving the goals (5 points)

The outcome of the selection will be announced on the website of FORTH/ICE-HT as well as on the website of “DIAVGEIA”.

In case of titles and qualifications awarded by foreign Higher Education Institutions, the provisions of the Law 55/2023 (article 36) and 4957/2022 (article 304) are implemented.

 

Selection Announcement

The result of the selection will be announced on the website of: FORTH/ICE-HT as well as on the website of “DIAVGEIA”.
