The 2024 call for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships has now opened. Postdoctoral Fellowships offer researchers holding a PhD the opportunity to gain new skills and experience while carrying out their own research project abroad. The deadline to apply is September 11th, 2024. The grants, which have a budget of €417.18 million, aim to improve the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD.
Fellowships include European Postdoctoral Fellowships, open to researchers of any nationality to carry out a personalized project in the European Union (EU) or countries associated to Horizon Europe for up to 24 months, and Global Postdoctoral Fellowships, open to EU and Horizon Europe associated countries nationals or long-term residents wishing to work with organizations in third countries for a period of 12 to 24 months, before returning to Europe for 12 months. Institutions in Canada and the U.S. can post to the EURAXESS Hosting portal for free to attract MSCA-PF Global Fellowship applicants who want to carry out a postdoc in North America and are in search of a host institute.
The scheme also encourages researchers to gain experience beyond academia by giving them the opportunity to request an additional six months at the end of their fellowship to undertake a placement in a non-academic organization in Europe.
