Scholarships for Masters and for research Stays from the French Embassy -Call for Application open until 31/05

EuraxessAfricaNews294247

The French Embassy in Tanzania supports Higher Education Cooperation between Tanzania and France mainly via Scholarships.

We are searching for partners for offering joint scholarships!
As the demand for scholarships for studying in France is constantly rising, the Embassy must be very selective in the allocation of the scholarships. We unfortunately cannot support every excellent candidate, especially regarding the Master scholarships where the demand is very high.
For this reason, the Embassy is looking for partners to create joint scholarships. Partners can be enterprises, foundations, universities or public institutions. French Embassies in various countries have already successfully implemented joint scholarships. Often it is considered a win-win situation, as the scholarship holder can follow the studies he or she are thriving for, and the company can be assured to hire employees who have attained high value education.
If you would like to learn more about this possibility and to discuss the options, please contact alexis.wiebe@diplomatie.gouv.fr

Currently, we offer scholarships for Master students (France Excellence - Bourses Master (Tanzania), and finance research Stays for PhDs and Postdocs (France Excellence - Research stays (Tanzania).

Both scholarships are instruments to finance mobility to and stays in France, and are awarded based on merit of the individual study and/or research project. The details of the scholarships are presented on the Campus Bourses, the search engine for scholarships of Campus France.

For its’ scholarships the Embassy publishes two calls for applications per year.

The first one opens in April, and closes in May. This call is open for both types of fundings. For students that start their Masters in September in France, this is the one and only call for application for their scholarship. During 4 to 6 weeks, students can apply, only via this website, and only by following the instructions below.

The call for application is also open for candidates who are applying for the Research Stays. Candidates for this scholarship can submit their application for their research stays in France, if their stay starts in current year. For stays that will begin in the next year, please submit during the second call.

The second call for application is only for research stays and opens in October for 4 to 6 weeks. Eligible are stays, that start and end in the upcoming year.

The exact dates of opening and closing of the calls will be communicated at least one month in advance, here on this page und the chapter “Current Call for Application”.
