Outline
The Career Development Award from the Giovanni Armenise Harvard Foundation supports early-career researchers wishing to join the Italian research community as independent investigators. Applications close on July 15, 2024.
What is funded
As part of the preliminary discussion with a Host Institute in Italy, an offer of a tenure-track position is desirable. The award provides 200,000 EUR/year. Funds can cover salaries for the scholar (commensurate with the position at the Host Institute), technicians, junior scientists, research supplies or administrative support required for the program. Funds can also cover specialized equipment not normally available at the Host Institute. Up to 10% of the funds can be used for administrative costs associated with the program in the host department.

Applicants must:
- have at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience in basic biological sciences and no more than 11 years post PhD.
- be currently outside Italy and wishing to move to Italy
